National AccessAbility Week

In 2024, Easter Seals Canada received funding from the Government of Canada to support National AccessAbility Week (NAAW) initiatives in 2025 and 2026.

This funding supports projects that raise awareness of accessibility and disability inclusion, increase Canadians’ understanding of accessibility issues, reduce stigma and attitudinal barriers faced by persons with disabilities, and promote the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across the disability community.

Being #UnstoppABLE®:

Stories of Accessibility and Inclusion

We join Canada each year in celebrating National AccessAbility Week (NAAW)—honouring progress toward accessibility, inclusion, and the removal of barriers for people with living with disabilities.

Accessibility is more than a principle—it’s about the choices we make in every space we shape, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

When barriers are removed and voices are heard, people with disabilities can reach their full potential. NAAW reminds us to continue breaking down barriers and making accessibility and inclusion the standard, not the exception.

The video below features ASL interpretation and closed captions.

As the Government of Canada highlights, NAAW is about taking action, raising awareness, and reaffirming our commitment to accessible spaces and opportunities for all Canadians.

Together, we can build a future where accessibility and inclusion are standardized everywhere.

The #UnstoppABLE® Campaign

#UNSTOPPABLE®

March 2025

No more eggs.
Still #UnstoppABLE®.

It’s true. We’ve left the (paper) eggs behind, and now we are simply #UnstoppABLE®!

The annual #UnstoppABLE® campaign (formerly the Paper Egg Campaign) is one of Easter Seals’ signature national fundraising and awareness initiatives. Part of our “March is Easter Seals Month” celebrations, the #UnstoppABLE® Campaign is a fundraising effort that brings together individuals, communities, and businesses all across Canada to raise funds for Canadians living with disabilities.

Each March, Easter Seals retail partners in cities and towns all across the country invite their customers to make a donation in any amount of their choice to Easter Seals at the store’s checkout registers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our retail partners, whether independent stores or corporate-owned chains, play a critical role in the success of the #UnstoppABLE® campaign and Easter Seals’ ability to raise much-needed funds to offer programs and services for persons with disabilities, and their families.

We’re committed to supporting our partners’ efforts in every way possible – including promoting participating stores during the campaign and encouraging our supporters to patronize the store.

For information on the benefits of partnerships and how your store can become an #UnstoppABLE® partner, please contact Sheri Boucher (Manager, National Programs and Events) at partnerships@easterseals.ca.

We look forward to hearing from you!

As a charitable organization, Easter Seals relies on donations from individual Canadians in addition to funds raised through grants and corporate partnerships. Your donation helps us provide programs and services that support the well-being and independence of Canadians living with disabilities.

We recognize and appreciate that many Canadians want to help make Canada more inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities. Making a donation at participating stores during our annual #UnstoppABLE® campaign is a convenient way for people to contribute to our important work.

All funds raised from the #UnstoppABLE® campaign go towards enabling Easter Seals to offer vital programs, services and accessibility equipment to support children, youth and adults across Canada who are living with disabilities. A full list of the different types of programs and services offered by Easter Seals, visit our programs and services page (programs and services offered differ from province to province).

All funds remain in the province where they were raised.

Over 95% of funds raised through the #UnstoppABLE® campaign directly benefits people living with disabilities through Easter Seals programs and services. Less than 5% goes towards printing and distribution costs.

Absolutely! After you’ve donated to the #UnstoppABLE® campaign in store, we welcome you to take a selfie at the store and post the photo on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), or Instagram. Let your followers know you’ve just donated to Easter Seals Canada’s #UnstoppABLE® campaign and be sure to include the hashtags #UnstoppABLE and #EasterSealsCanada to help raise awareness.

Thank you to all of our partners of the #UnstoppABLE® Campaign!

What is Drop Zone?

The Easter Seals Drop Zone® is a knee-shaking, heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping adventure that encourages you to get out of your comfort zone and face your fears by rappelling from the top of a towering high-rise building – all in support of Canadians living with disabilities.  Register as an individual, or better yet, create a team of superheroes and take the Drop Zone challenge with your friends, family or colleagues, and fundraise to help support programs and services for people living with disabilities.

Whether you’re able-bodied or have a disability, the Easter Seals Drop Zone gives you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to challenge yourself and change lives! Since 2005, thousands of ordinary people all across Canada have become superheroes for a day in support of Easter Seals.

How does it work and how do I register?

To participate in Drop Zone, participants will need to register as an individual or as part of a personal or corporate team on the Drop Zone website at www.thedropzone.ca. Select a city in which you’d like to rappel. Once you’ve registered, you will automatically be set-up with a personal fundraising page where you can easily make appeals to your contact, track the donations you’ve received and the amounts you’ve fundraised thus far, and also thank all your donors. It’s easy as pie!

Requirements and set-up differ slightly from city to city, but in order to be able to rappel on the day of the event, you and/or your team will need to ensure that you fundraise the minimum fundraising amount/target that has been set for your city.
