WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH…: The CENTURY 21 Miller Warriors team takes on Tough Mudder Toronto to raise funds for Easter Seals and build team spirit

In the Spotlight is a series of stories featuring CENTURY 21 Companies and Network members across Canada and the great fundraising initiatives and efforts they have undertaken in support of Easter Seals through the C21 Kids to Camp Program.

Toronto, ON, October 2018 – Elizabeth Novoa is a fitness enthusiast, music lover and most importantly, a wife and mother to two children. She is also a Broker/Manager with CENTURY 21 Miller Real Estate in Oakville, Ontario, and has been in the sales field in the real estate industry for over a decade. Her passion for leadership steered her in the direction of Management, where she enjoys teaching, guiding and assisting Realtors to reach their fullest potential.

Not one to shy away from challenges, Elizabeth recently decided to take on one of her life’s Bucket List items: braving the grueling Full Tough Mudder Challenge – an endurance race which consists of 10 miles of messy, muddy terrain and 20 best-in-class obstacles designed to push people out of their comfort zone, challenge their physical limits, and accomplish the truly extraordinary. But she didn’t just stop there. Elizabeth also saw the Tough Mudder Challenge as an opportunity to build team camaraderie and raise funds for Easter Seals – a cause she feels passionately about and have fundraised for in many different ways over the years.

Led by Elizabeth, the CENTURY 21 Miller Warriors team consisted of Sales Representatives Christian Moretuzzo, Elena Kavanagh, and Sunny Bains. Together, the team helped motivate each other along the demanding Tough Mudder course in September this year and pushed each other past the finish line.

According to Elizabeth, “I couldn’t have completed this challenge without my incredible team members, as their strength and persistence is what helped myself and the rest push through. I am incredibly blessed to be surrounded by these dedicated Realtors who not only share the same passion for the industry as I do but is truly invested in helping give back to the Easter Seals organization.”

“Easter Seals is a charity close to our hearts. We at CENTURY 21 Miller have been involved with Easter Seals for decades and are delighted to have yet another opportunity to give back to such a life-changing organization. We would like to thank our sponsors for their generous donations: ProResults Plumbing, VersaCorp Homes, Kathleen Back Coaching and Consulting, Lions Valley Carpentry Inc., Mountainview Mortgage, Buca Di Bacco, Sound Obsession, Keeping the Books Inc., PTD Electrical and CENTURY 21 Miller Real Estate Ltd.

This challenge not only made us wobbly for days but also taught us that you can truly accomplish anything if you put your mind to it. However, it’s mindset with heart that can make one move mountains. It is always important to give back as there is nothing more fulfilling for the soul than to help Easter Seals kids excel and succeed. The Century 21 network members are grateful, humble and compassionate individuals and I am proud to be amongst them.”– Elizabeth Novoa
