Safeway Canada

Safeway Canada is a National Partner of the Feeding Ability Program—an initiative focused on educating and informing children and families of all abilities about nutrition, healthy food choices and cooking in a fun and interactive way. Safeway Canada and Easter Seals believe that good nutrition plays a significant role in improving quality of life for everyone and is especially important for those with health issues and disabilities.

Caring about their community is a Safeway tradition. Since 2006, more than $8 million has been raised for Easter Seals Canada through the fundraising efforts of Safeway Canada staff and the generous support of Safeway customers.

Safeway Canada and its more than 30,000 employees also believe strongly in supporting Canadians living with disabilities—a passion and priority that has long been part of the Safeway Canada culture. Through the in-store Help Feed Ability campaign and the generous donations from its customers, Safeway Canada raises money to send kids living with disabilities to Easter Seals’ specialized, fully-accessible summer camps across Canada—a truly life-changing experience these kids will never forget.
