It has come to our attention that our general information email address was recently “spoofed” (used as an alias) in a series of spam messages that targeted members of the public via randomly generated email addresses.

To anyone who may have received these messages, we apologize for the inconvenience and wish to assure you that Easter Seals Canada values the privacy of its supporters and the general public. We only send email to supporters who have signed up for our e-newsletters, and to thank and provide tax receipts to our donors. We will never deliberately spam you or try to sell you any goods or services via email.

Should you ever receive an email message that appears to be from Easter Seals Canada but is unrelated to the work we do to improve the lives of people living with disabilities, please delete it immediately. DO NOT click any links within the email and DO NOT reply to it.

While this type of fraudulent activity is, unfortunately, commonly faced by organizations today, we are working with our IT provider to determine how we can best minimize the risk of this type of incident occurring again in the future.
