Dear Easter Seals and CIBC Children’s Foundation,

Thank you so much for your generous donation to help us purchase a toileting system for our son Caleb as well as the extension piece for Caleb’s walker.
Caleb is an extremely happy, outgoing and energetic 7-year-old with severe Cerebral Palsy. He suffered a brain injury at birth resulting in his diagnosis. He was diagnosed with Epilepsy at the age of 4 years old and also had a feeding tube placed at this time. Caleb may have a lot more challenges than the average child or even adult but this does not stop him for smiling every day. He sure knows how to shine a light on the darkest of days.
Your donation to help fund a toilet seat for Caleb will allow us to work on toilet training – something we know that Caleb is capable of doing. Having this seating system helps save us physically because we no longer have to sit on the floor and hold him on the toilet. Having this system will also give Caleb the privacy and space he needs to be able to sit on the toilet independently. I am so excited to start this new process with him.
Caleb has been using the Buddy Roamer walker since he was 2 years old. He has finally gotten too tall for his current size. The funding for the extension piece will allow Caleb to continue to use this walker and maintain his independence on his feet.
He is much more social and can participate in outdoor and indoor activities both in school and at home. Having this walker has been a game changer for Caleb and we can’t be prouder of him when he is able to move around on his own.
