November 19, 2024 – It is with mixed emotions that we announce the upcoming retirement of our esteemed CEO, Dave Starrett, effective March 20^th, 2025.

Dave has been an integral part of Easter Seals Canada (ESC) for over 10 years, and his leadership has been nothing short of extraordinary. During his tenure, Dave has led many milestone initiatives for ESC including leading Easter Seals’ 100^th anniversary celebration in Ottawa, where ESC received proclamations in both Parliament and the Senate, and being actively engaged  in government relations that helped the passage of bill C-22 (the Canada Disability Benefit),.  His vision and dedication have been instrumental in shaping ESC into the successful organization it is today.

As we look ahead, we are excited about the future of ESC, building on Dave’s accomplishments. The board has engaged Leaders International to support us in our efforts to conduct a national search for our next CEO. We have been actively preparing to launch the search, and you will see the posting go live in the coming days, so please stay tuned!
