“A New Way to Play” by Candice O’Sullivan
Canadian author, Candice O’Sullivan, has generously offered to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of 500 copies of her new children’s picture book, A New Way to Play,’ to Easter Seals, in support of programs and services for persons and families living with disability.
A New Way to Play is a wonderful story of 3 young friends: Emily, Anthony, and Sarah, who get together for a playdate. They first decide to play hide-and-seek, but Emily is soon frustrated that her wheelchair gives away her hiding place easily. So the friends decide to play another game that they can all take part in equally. The book skillfully addresses disability, diversity, accessibility and inclusion in a way that young children can easily understand.
