Arrival of Spring brings the start of the annual Paper Egg Campaign
Monday, March 20th signals the first official day of spring—it also kicks off the annual Easter Seals Paper Egg Campaign. From March 20 – April 16, communities big and small all across Canada will come together to raise funds for Canadians living with disabilities through the annual Easter Seals Paper Egg Campaign. The Paper Egg Campaign is one of Easter Seals’ signature national fundraising and awareness programs, and a key initiative of our Easter Seals Month celebrations which kick off in April.
Throughout March and April, Easter Seals’ national, provincial and local corporate partners in cities and towns across the country will encourage their customers to purchase colourful Easter Seals Paper Eggs at the checkout for $2 ($1 in Saskatchewan). Customers are asked to sign their name on the eggs which are then proudly displayed on store windows and walls to create a powerful visual display of support.
This year, we’re excited to recognize the amazing support of Red Apples Stores Inc. who are celebrating 10 years as a National Sponsor of the Paper Egg Campaign. Easter Seals is proud to recognize and thank Red Apple for their incredible support and their commitment to helping Canadians with disabilities become unstoppABLETM!
“It’s rare to find a partner with the kind of commitment and enthusiasm that Red Apple has shown for Easter Seals over the past 10 years,” says Dave Starrett, President & CEO of Easter Seals Canada. “We’re really proud of our relationship with Red Apple and are truly grateful for their support as a National Sponsor of the Paper Egg Campaign since 2007.”
Funds raised through the Paper Egg Campaign help ensure that all Canadians living with disabilities have access to the life-changing equipment, programs, services and support they need to make the most of their abilities. Easter Seals thanks its National Sponsors, Booster Juice and Red Apple Stores Inc.; its local and regional sponsors; and all Canadians who purchase eggs in-store and online throughout the month-long Campaign.
