TORONTO, ON (March 28, 2011) – The 11th annual Easter Seals Paper Egg Campaign begins March 28th and runs to April 24th to benefit Canadians with disabilities. Shoppers at participating retailers purchase colourful paper eggs, which when posted on store walls demonstrate their collective support in making a big difference in their communities.
In 2010, participating retailers and shoppers collectively raised $766,352 for Easter Seals one toonie at a time. Since 2001, $6.2 million has been raised to ensure that Canadians with disabilities have the technology and experiences required to lead active and fulfilling lives.
“A small gesture really does make a big difference,” says Max Beck, CEO of Easter Seals Canada. “The Easter Seals Paper Egg campaign is a great way for Canadians to give a little while collectively making a big impact. We cannot thank our participating retail partners and customers enough for their continued support and generosity.”
